“Struggle for Communism: 100 Years of Political Heritage”
2/4/19 4:44 PM
On behalf of the Communist Party of Turkey, we would like to welcome you to the meeting of European Communist Initiative Parties, “Struggle for Communism: 100 Years of Political Heritage” aiming to carefully study the lessons of history and exchange experiences on the struggles of communist parties in each country, in Istanbul on 16-17 February 2019.
2019 will be the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Communist International. Based on the rich historical experience of communist parties’ working together, both during the CI and after its dissolution in 1943, the member parties of the European Communist Initiative will discuss and clarify positions regarding several landmark issues and critical junctures in the history of world communist movement. This is considered as both a need and a political-ideological duty for today’s vanguard parties. Under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, the ECI parties will openly challenge the distortions shadowing our own history, the history of revolutionary class-struggles, that our comrades in the past generations have carried on with their own blood and sweat. In his speech at the First Congress of the Communist International, Comrade Lenin said “The proletariat must not fear the truth, it must face it squarely and draw all the necessary political conclusions”. This will form the goal and the framework of the meeting.
A detailed program of the meeting can be found below.
